Hold open the week of April 15th to learn how to better utilize your Merchant Plus! system.
This year we are trying a new approach to our traditional Client Conference in that we are combining it with in-depth training sessions. While we are excited to tell you all about our new products and future direction, we want to provide for you and your staff an opportunity for in depth training, discussions and analysis of the Merchant Plus! system. By delving into product details and sharing common experiences, even the most experienced user will learn new tricks, short cuts and better ways to utilize the system.
Our agenda is designed as a comprehensive week long learning experience but also provide the opportunity to send any member of your team to sessions appropriate to their interests and needs.
Conference Agenda
Monday, April 15th – Inventory Control
The emphasis for this day is Inventory transactions including: Purchase Order Management, Receiving and Distribution, Price Changes and Physical Inventory
Tuesday April 16th – Merchandising and Marketing
The focus of this day is geared toward management, buyers and executives and will focus on using the analytical tools and reports of the system to increase retail profits. We will review the most effective reports and tools in the system for merchandising and customer marketing and discuss ways we can improve upon them.
Wednesday, April 17th – Client Conference
On Wednesday we will hold our Client Conference. This is our opportunity to discuss recent releases, new features and functions and discuss future enhancements. Our development direction is based on the input and feed back of our clients and we encourage everyone to attend with their ideas to share.
Thursday, April 18th – Store Management
Thursday will focus on store operations. In depth training will be provided for Point of Sale, Operations, Store level reports, Bank Deposits, and in store transactions. PCI and security issues will be discussed in depth.
Friday, April 19th – Accounting
The final day of the week is devoted to accounting, including Invoice Entry, Merchandise Invoice Matching, Checks & Payments, Bank Reconciliation and accounting. Sub-ledger reconciliation will be explained so you can go home and balance your system.
Mix and Match Schedule Options
The agenda is being structured to allow for flexibility based on individual needs. Our hope is that you can send as many of your staff members as possible without abandoning your store. While we hope most people will stay for the whole week, the following combinations might be considered:
- Owner/Operators, Controllers, & Bookkeepers – Monday – Friday
- Buyers and Merchandise Managers – Monday – Wednesday
- Executive level – Tuesday and Wednesday
- Store Operations – Wednesday and Thursday
- Accounting – Wednesday through Friday

Hey Guys, Mid April is a beautiful time of year to visit NE Ohio. Weather is just about perfect, spring flowers are in bloom, and best of all, our snow will definitely be gone! We sure hope to see you all here and this will prove to be a very informative event. And we might even throw in a few fun surprises too…… See you all then!
