We just received notice that the “Bank Id” code will be changing for all our customers using Mercury Payment Systems for credit card processing. Everyone using Mercury Payment Systems should change their documentation to reflect the new Bank ID to prevent further delay and embarrassment for the first voice authorization needed.
A better solution is included in the latest software update to Merchant Plus! (v 4.5.1). All customers using all credit card processing will benefit by personalizing POS Text to control what is displayed on the Offline Authorization form. It can include the proper phone numbers, the Code 10 instructions as well as the store’s Merchant ID and Bank ID needed for voice authorizations.
Of course, the message can be personalized for each store or even register. You should have received notification from MPS or you can contact Smyth Retail Support for the new Bank ID for Mercury.
