While this is minor release includes fixes and corrections to the last major release (4.4), the significant improvement with this release is the availability of signature capture for the new Point to Point encryption (P2Pe) bankcard processing technology.
The UIC PP795 PIN pad device is a self contained device for swiping cards, entering PINs, and now capturing signatures and saving them in the data base. Captured signatures are stored in the database and can always be reprinted if needed. This can save paper costs as a second copy of sales receipts can be eliminated.
Remember that with Point to Point Encryption the card holder information is encrypted by the device and directly decrypted by the bankcard processor. With this durable and inexpensive device you can vastly improve security and protect your customers’ sensitive cardholder information.
