Microsoft Windows 10® is now officially supported by Merchant Plus! with the release of version 5.2. Frankly, Windows 10 seemed to work fine prior to this release for those who were updated and didn’t roll it back. Of course, official support means that we can get help from our partners should any issues arise. It also means that we have tested drivers for the equipment supported by Merchant Plus!.
Like all operating system updates, the real challenge is in making sure all the supported devices and drivers work and if they don’t be able to identify it up front, and find replacement products as needed. We have found little issue with any drivers for the supported product with a few exceptions.
Products not supported
Digital Persona Fingerprint readers – While the last day of support for DigitalPersona Pro is scheduled for October 31, 2016 and it is NOT supported on Windows 10, we have confirmed that it still works for logging into Merchant Plus!. The readers will not be able to be used with the new login process of Windows 10.
Paxar/Monarch Tag Printers – We have not tested all the Monarch Printers (we don’t own one of each) so those will need to be tested and confirmed in the field remotely. We have had great success in the past with the Seagull Scientific drivers and don’t anticipate problems.
